Our school Family Education programs, put together capably by Sara Scharff, Family Education Director, revolved around holiday learning.

We had beautiful Hanukkah and Purim programs, as well as classroom programs, such as Wimpel making projects, field trips to the Mikveh and Mortuary, and a class trip to a Kosher restaurant, conducted entirely in Hebrew.

All of our teachers have been wonderful this year. Thanks to Allison Smith, Vanessa Duncan, Minoo Cohanzadeh, Raquel Safdie, Neomi Nemanim, Michal Rozenberg-Yalovsky, Scott Perlo, Myrna Sokoloff, and aides Jonathan Blake, Ari Laness, Jordan Freedman and Jessica Gross.

The Education Committee is always a source of support for the school. Special thanks to Marcia Greenberg, Education Chair, for her two years of invaluable service to the school.

Thanks as well to members of the Education Committee: Susan Aver, Barry Bar-El, Liz Bar-El, Sanna Franklin, Loren Grossman, Debra Silverman, Holly Strom and Jeanne Weiss.

As we look ahead to the 2003-2004 school year, pencil in Sunday, September 14, for our special back-to-school morning and school BBQ, to be held at the synagogue from 10:30am-12:30pm. You'll have a chance to meet the teachers, hear about our school program for the coming year, and enjoy a delicious lunch.
