Cantor’s CD
“Cantor Miller’s CD “Ashrei” is a beautiful work and is worthy of mention and praise.
Ashrei, as it happens, is recited three times a day. It is said during the preliminary morning service, the morning service itself, and as a prequel to the afternoon service. Putting the Ashrei to song, as the cantor has done, further beautifies an already beautiful piece of scripture. To mouth certain liturgical words with intent is of course important, to sing them — with melodies that elevate one’s soul — is nothing short of divine.
