Introduction to Judaism

Kehillat Ma’arav offers the Santa Monica Cycle of the American Jewish University’s (formerly University of Judaism) Miller Introduction to Judaism Program.

The Intro class is a stimulating and meaningful 18-week course geared toward Jews and non-Jews who simply want to learn more about Judaism. Many students take the classes with the intention of converting to Judaism, but it is not a requirement.

Classes meet in the KM sanctuary on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. KM members are welcome to attend.

Taught by Rabbi Michael Gotlieb at KM, Thursdays, 6:30pm – 10:00pm

Adult B’nai Mitzvah

Occasionally an adult who has missed the opportunity to be called to the Torah wants to participate as a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

Kehillat Ma’arav encourages this bond with tradition and the cantor helps arrange the study and ceremony. See the B’nai Mitzvah page for more details.
